North Bank Park

North Bank Park is located along the Scioto River in downtown Columbus, just north of downtown and in front of the Arena and Pen West Districts. The median strip between Spring and Long Streets is also incorporated into the park. The park provides a site for hosting special events, boating opportunities (dock and river access) and trails for walkers, cyclists, joggers and skaters along the river. These trails connect the park to the Olentangy and Scioto Greenway Trails to the north and Battelle, Avenue of Flags and Bicentennial Parks to the south.
The park has a large expanse of lawn and a glass pavilion for public rentals. The upper level plaza will include an interactive fountain that will encourage children to play. There is a large patio area for tables and chairs as well as amphitheater lawn seating facing the river providing views of the river and downtown skyline. Signs are placed throughout the central portion of the park with stories of Columbus history. The stone veneer on the park walls are actual stone from the Ohio Penitentiary that once stood north of the park. Parking (meters) is available along Long and Spring Streets next to park, as well as parking lots and garages in the area. There is convenient and easy access from the Arena District.
