New Food Station Trends

Food stations accented with beautiful linen, stunning floral and eclectic props is still the hottest trends at events today. More and more, the seated dinner is going by the wayside. We find that most guests simply don’t like being trapped at a dining table all night. The roving reception is hot, hot, hot! Here’s a few new fun ideas from made to order donuts to gourmet small batch artisan popcorn.

Mad about Minis 
Miniaturized desserts are major at weddings now, beloved because they promote movement and foster sampling. Supplementing the traditional wedding cake with mini desserts can give your guests a great way to top off the evening in style. From Pie bars, Whoopee pies, Mini Pudding and Trifle shots to Chef attended stations serving S’mores, Crème Brulee or Signature Bride and Groom desserts.

New for 2013 is our Made to order Risotto Station. Creamy Risotto is combined with your choice of sautéed Wild Mushrooms, roasted Butternut Squash, grilled Asparagus,shredded Asiago Cheese, fresh Spinach, chopped grilled Chicken and crumbled Bacon. Guests custom create their own signature dish.

The Gelato Bar is the latest rave at wedding receptions. Our gelato is gourmet, handmade, and beautifully presented! So whether you offer the gelato bar in addition to, or in place of the traditional wedding cake or candy bar, you and your guests will be impressed. Italian gelato is crafted in small batches creating dense rich flavors like Tiramisu, Pernigotti Chocolate, Lavender Honey and Blood Orange and Pear.

Roving Food Carts
It’s not a truck but a roving food cart that adds a fun and interactive element to your Wedding. Chefs move throughout the event, entertaining and creating edibles from a table side cart.

Soup shooters and mini gourmet sandwich stations have been picking up steam and now the classic soup and sandwich combo is inspired with locally grown produce and sandwiches prepared with premium cheeses such as Brie or Gruyere. Soups are ladled into shot glasses or demitasse cups while mini sandwiches are brushed with butter and warmed on our cast iron griddles
